This hydraulic shear features a fully welded steel plate construction, ensuring years of dependable service for any shop. The kit includes an 80" length shear with a maximum capacity for 10-gauge mild steel and a powerful 7.5 HP motor that operates on 220-volt 3-phase power. The industrial-grade hydraulic system is located in the front for easy fluid changes, while the shearing carriage rides on hardened ways with heavy-duty bearings to reduce friction. A heavy-duty table equipped with roller bars allows for easier material sliding into the machine. The manually adjustable 23-5/8" back gauge ensures precise repeatability, and side gauges help maintain 90° cuts without needing to mark guiding lines on the material. The shear offers three operational modes: Jog mode for inching the blade down to the material, single cycle mode for one cut per pedal push, and automatic cycling mode for continuous cutting during production runs. An adjustable rake angle dial accommodates varying material thicknesses to minimize burr and reduce strain on hydraulics. The blade gap can be conveniently adjusted to prevent folding and twisting, while high carbon chromium blades come standard with two-sided upper blades and four-sided lower blades that can be flipped and resharpened. A shadow line provides a reference for precise cutting, and hydraulic hold-downs clamp the sheet securely to the table, which eliminates material lifting and enhances blade life.
