This sheet metal brake is designed for bending boxes or pans to various depths without relying on conventional finger depths. It features easy, hands-free operation that allows users to place a material piece between the clamping bar to the desired depth and engage the powerful magnet in the bending bed through push button control. The foot pedal softly clamps the material, keeping fingers safely away from the machine, enabling users to reposition the material easily. By lifting the bottom bending leaf, users can complete the bend, making this tool ideal for HVAC shops, industrial art shops, and general sheet metal fabrication. It is capable of making enclosed boxes, triangles, alternate bends on different planes, and round items such as scrolling applications while bending a variety of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, coated materials, and heated plastics. This brake operates on 220-volt single-phase power, measures 48" (4-foot) in length with a maximum capacity of 16 gauge mild steel, and boasts an open-ended design that allows for the creation of shapes and ducts impossible with a traditional box and pan brake. With 6-ton magnetic power consistent across the beam, it delivers crisp bends even in the middle of the brake. The scaled stroke angle control provides repeatable bends, while the mild steel clamping bar can be configured with straight or segmented bars for various applications. The blade gap adjustment accommodates sheet metal of different thicknesses, and the bottom leaf's bending extension can be removed for tight bends of 5/8".
