DuPont™ Tyvek® 400 SFR garments are lightweight, disposable secondary flame-resistant overgarments designed to protect and preserve primary flame-resistant garments, providing an ideal balance of protection, durability, and comfort. In the event of a flash fire, Tyvek® 400 SFR garments will not ignite and will not contribute to additional burn injury when worn over appropriate primary flame-resistant personal protective equipment like DuPont™ Nomex®. Made from flash spun high-density polyethylene breathable nonwoven Tyvek® fabric that is flame-retardant treated, these garments offer an inherent barrier against particles as small as 1.0 micron. Tyvek® 400 SFR represents a new generation of disposable secondary flame-resistant garment technology, providing superior particle barrier protection and enhanced durability in a lighter-weight fabric, suitable for use in environments with hazardous particle and flash fire hazards. The relaxed fit coverall design incorporates a diamond gusset crotch for unrestricted movement, red trim elements, red external stitched seams, and a red zipper. Tyvek® 400 SFR is a more sustainable solution, capable of being recycled through the Tyvek® protective apparel recycling program if free from hazardous material contamination. Applications include oil and gas, general manufacturing and operations, maintenance, dirty jobs, environmental services, and utilities.
