DuPont™ Tyvek® 400 SFR garments are lightweight, disposable secondary flame-resistant over garments designed to protect and preserve primary flame-resistant garments while offering an ideal balance of protection, durability, and comfort. In the event of a flash fire, Tyvek® 400 SFR garments will not ignite and will not contribute to additional burn injury if appropriate primary flame-resistant personal protective equipment, such as DuPont™ Nomex®, is worn beneath. Composed of flash spun high-density polyethylene breathable nonwoven Tyvek® fabric that has been flame-retardant treated, these garments provide an inherent barrier against particles as small as 1.0 micron. Tyvek® 400 SFR represents a new generation of disposable secondary flame-resistant garment technology, offering superior particle barrier protection and improved durability in a lighter-weight fabric compared to traditional options. This combination of performance allows Tyvek® 400 SFR garments to be worn over primary flame-resistant garments like Nomex® in environments with hazardous particle and flash fire hazards. They are also sustainable and can be recycled through the Tyvek® protective apparel recycling program if not contaminated with hazardous materials. Applications include oil and gas, general manufacturing and operations, maintenance, dirty jobs, environmental services, and utilities. The relaxed fit coverall design features a diamond gusset crotch for unrestricted movement and optimal fit, red trim elements, red external stitched seams, and a red zipper. The garments meet key certifications and compliance standards relevant to the industry, with dimensions and specifications tailored to ensure a reliable fit and function.
