3M™ 256 flatback tape is designed for masking, bundling, holding, and splicing operations where color identification is essential. This tape adheres to a variety of surfaces, including paper, film, fabric, and yarn, making it versatile for various applications. It is printable with standard flexographic inks and can also be marked easily with ballpoint pens, felt-tip pens, and rubber stamps. However, it is not intended for outdoor exposure and can be removed easily without leaving residue. The tape can withstand temperatures up to 200°F for 1 hour and features a white flat back paper with rubber adhesive for optimal performance.
