The Cool-Arc® 40 (115 volt) is a reliable and affordable water cooler designed for water-cooled MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting applications. It features a rugged industrial pump manufactured by Pro-Con®, known for its easy serviceability and maintenance, and designed for continuous operation to ensure a steady flow and pressure. The cooler is equipped with a powerful "muffin-style" tube axial fan that provides efficient cooling with low noise, minimizing vibrations transferred to the welding torch. It has a plastic, non-corrosive 2-gallon reservoir, limiting the unit's weight to 60 lbs, and can be mounted and operated either horizontally or vertically for a minimal footprint. The Cool-Arc® 40 is compatible with all Lincoln water-cooled systems, including Cobramatic® water-cooled push-pull torches, and features color-coded inlet and outlet coolant connections with standard female CGA-style (5/8-18 left-hand thread). It requires no special coolant for indoor use and utilizes tap water. The unit is CE (Europe) and C-Tick (Australia) compliant (K2187-1 only). The cooler type is stand-alone, suitable for processes including flux-cored (FCAW), TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), pulsed MIG (GMAW-P), flux-cored self-shielded (FCAW-S), and flux-cored gas-shielded (FCAW-G).
