The REED R9600 salinity refractometer is designed for measuring the concentration of dissolved salt in water, specifically in applications such as aquariums, holding tanks, and breeding ponds. It can measure salinity levels from 0 to 28% with only 2 to 3 drops of a sample, featuring an easy-to-read scale and automatic temperature compensation (ATC) for enhanced accuracy, which is ±0.2%. The device includes a prism and lens that allow for simple focus adjustment, ensuring repeatable results. The kit includes a refractometer, cover plate, calibration screwdriver, cleaning cloth, solution/sample applicator, and a hard carrying case.
