The R8005 laser distance meter measures distances up to 164' (50 m) and includes a backlit multi-line LCD display, allowing for calculations of area, volume, and the sum of lengths. This device retains maximum and minimum readings and can store up to 99 measurements in memory. It is designed for one-handed operation and features user-selectable units of measure (Imperial/Metric), a laser target pointer, and reference point selection for either the front or rear of the instrument. The meter allows for quick self-calculation with real-time readout and includes functions for area, volume, max/min, addition, subtraction, and indirect 2/3 point calculations. An integrated bubble level ensures precise measurements in both horizontal and vertical orientations, while continuous measurement mode, a low battery indicator, and auto shut-off enhance usability. The R8005 is ideal for various applications such as measuring conduit and wire lengths, light retrofitting projects, piping and ventilation installation, air volume calculations, and creating floor plans.
