The Solstice Bed integrates unmatched strength and durability with a design that promotes patient comfort and security, making it suitable for various environments where it can be bolted to the floor if needed. The bed features a durable, one-piece rotationally molded construction using high impact "no break" polyethylene, which includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding. It is designed for mattresses measuring 36" x 75" or smaller, with a recommended thickness of 6", although mattresses are sold separately. The bed also has an angled lower side rail for easier entry and exit, is sound dampening, and is easy to clean and sanitize. It can be secured to the floor using concealed pilot holes with hardware of choice. The Solstice Bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability tests per UL 94 HB, and shows a >99% reduction in bacteria according to ISO 22196 testing. It is flame retardant as per CAL 133 standards and reduces noise generation by producing half as many decibels compared to steel, as per the RAL-AN23-010 test. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed is ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. The design is also patent pending.
