The Solstice Bed combines unmatched strength and durability with a design that promotes patient comfort and security, capable of being bolted to the floor depending on the environment. It features a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design constructed of high-impact "no break" polyethylene, which includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding. The bed is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended thickness of 6", noting that mattresses are sold separately. The angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit, while the bed is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. It can also be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes using hardware of your choice. The bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified and passes flammability UL 94 HB, has been tested to ISO 22196 showing a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria, and is flame retardant (passes CAL 133). Additionally, it has undergone a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) concluding that it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the Solstice Bed is ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty, with a patent pending on its design.
