The Solstice bed combines strength and durability with a design that enhances patient comfort and security, featuring a one-piece, rotationally molded construction made from high impact "no break" polyethylene. It includes molded-in, raised head and footboards that prevent mattresses from sliding, and is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller— a 6" thick mattress is recommended (mattresses sold separately). The bed has angled lowered side rails for easier entry and exit, offers sound dampening, and is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. It can be bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes with user-provided hardware. The Solstice bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability testing per UL 94 HB, and has been tested to ISO 22196, demonstrating a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria. It is flame retardant, passing CAL 133, and a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) showed it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed is also ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty.
