The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed, incorporating features specifically designed to enhance the safety of fall risk patients. It includes durable, one-piece rotationally molded design for increased strength, constructed of high-impact "no break" polyethylene. The bed features molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding and seamless, raised wall panels that run partially along both lengths of the bed to help prevent falls and fall-related injuries. It is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, and a safety rail is included to help prevent falling out of bed, with a recommendation for a 6" thick mattress (mattresses sold separately). The angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit, and the bed is sound dampening, easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. Additionally, it can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes with hardware of your choice. The bed is Greenguard Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB standards, and its noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) indicates it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. It has been tested to ISO 22196, demonstrating a >99% reduction in bacteria, is flame retardant (passes CAL 133), and is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA. The bed is also ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. Patent pending status is also noted.
