The Solstice Safeguard Bed is designed to provide a therapeutic environment for fall risk patients, incorporating features that enhance safety and comfort. Its durable, one-piece, rotationally molded construction is made from high impact "no break" polyethylene, ensuring increased strength. The bed includes molded-in raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding, and seamless raised wall panels that run partially along both lengths to minimize the risk of falls and related injuries. It is intended for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, and a recommended 6" thick mattress is sold separately. The angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit, while the design incorporates sound dampening properties, making it easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. The bed can be bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes, and it is Greenguard Gold certified, passing flammability tests under UL 94 HB. Noise generation tests (RAL-AN23-010) demonstrate a significant reduction in decibels compared to steel, and it has been tested to ISO 22196, showing over a 99% reduction in bacteria. Additionally, the bed meets flame retardant standards (passes CAL 133), is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, is ligature resistant, and comes with a 10-year factory warranty.
