The Endurance™ wall mount bunk is designed for continuous, intensive use environments, providing a solution for jail and prison cells by reducing ligature points and eliminating dangerous edges associated with metal bunks. This first-of-its-kind, all-plastic wall bunk features a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design constructed from high-impact "no break" polyethylene, ensuring strength without steel or wood components. The bunk can be bolted to the wall using pilot holes and hardware of your choice and is compatible with a 30" x 75" mattress, with a recommended thickness of 4-1/2". Its space-saving design accommodates double bunk use, and optional accessories include an Endurance wall bunk ladder or all-purpose shelves for easy upper bunk access, along with wall bunk safety rails for added security. The bunk has undergone rigorous testing, including 250 lb. load cycling for 70,000 cycles and static load testing of 2,000 lbs. for 24 hours, demonstrating residual deflection under 3". It is easy to clean and maintain, passes flammability UL 94 HB, and has been tested to ISO 22196, showing over a 99% reduction in bacteria. The bunk is flame retardant (passing CAL 133), manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, and passes ASTM WK57116 for steel bunks. Additionally, it is Greenguard Gold certified and ligature resistant, backed by a 10-year factory warranty, and is currently patent pending.
