The Solstice Safeguard bed is designed to support the safety of fall risk patients while emulating the therapeutic features of the Solstice bed. It includes raised, molded-in wall panels running laterally along each side, which help prevent fall-related injuries while still allowing for some patient movement. The bed features a durable, one-piece rotationally molded design made of high-impact "no break" polyethylene, with molded-in raised head and footboards that prevent mattress slippage. It is compatible with 36" x 75" mattresses or smaller and has a safety rail to reduce the risk of falling out of bed, recommended for use with a 6" thick mattress sold separately. An angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit, while the bed is engineered for sound dampening and easy cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance. It can also be secured to the floor through concealed pilot holes using hardware of your choice. The bed meets several safety standards, being GREENGUARD Gold certified, passing flammability UL 94 HB, and reducing noise generation compared to steel, as indicated by the RAL-AN23-010 test results. It has been tested to ISO 22196, showing over 99% reduction in bacteria, and is flame retardant, passing CAL 133. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, it features ballast doors for stability, is ligature resistant, includes a 10-year factory warranty, and is patented pending.
