The Solstice Bed is designed to merge unparalleled strength and durability with a home-like appearance to enhance patient comfort and security, and can be bolted to the floor depending on the environment. It features a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design made of high-impact "no break" polyethylene, with molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding. The bed is compatible with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended mattress thickness of 6" (mattresses sold separately). Additional attributes include angled lowered side rails for easier entry and exit, sound dampening properties, and ease of cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance. It can be secured to the floor via concealed pilot holes with hardware of choice and is GREENGUARD Gold certified. The bed passes flammability standards UL 94 HB, has been tested to ISO 22196 showing a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria, and meets flame retardant standards (passes CAL 133). Noise generation tests (RAL-AN23-010) indicate it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the Solstice Bed includes ballast doors for stability and is ligature resistant. It comes with a 10-year factory warranty and is currently patent pending.
