The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed, featuring essential attributes that support the safety of fall risk patients. It includes raised, molded-in wall panels running laterally along each side of the bed to help prevent injury from falls, while partial paneling contributes to patient comfort and security without completely restricting movement. The bed's durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design, constructed from high-impact "no break" polyethylene, ensures increased strength and durability. The product features molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding, safety rails to minimize the risk of falling out of bed, and an angled lowered side rail for easier entry and exit. It is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommendation for a 6" thick mattress (sold separately). The bed is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain, and it can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes using appropriate hardware. Additional specifications include Greenguard Gold certification, compliance with flammability standards UL 94 HB, a noise generation test RAL-AN23-010 that shows half as many decibels produced compared to steel, and testing to ISO 22196 indicating a >99% reduction in bacteria. Additionally, it passes CAL 133 for flame retardance and is ligature resistant. The bed is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA and comes with a 10-year factory warranty, with a patent pending.
