The Solstice Safeguard Bed is designed to support the safety of fall risk patients while emulating the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed. It features durable, one-piece, rotationally molded construction from high-impact "no break" polyethylene, ensuring increased strength and longevity. The bed includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding, as well as seamless, raised wall panels that run partially along both lengths to mitigate fall risks and related injuries. This bed accommodates a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommendation for a 6" thick mattress, which is sold separately. Additionally, an angled lowered side rail enhances patient entry and exit, while the design minimizes noise generation and simplifies cleaning and maintenance. It can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes using hardware of your choice. The Solstice Safeguard Bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB standards, and has undergone testing to ensure a >99% reduction in bacteria as per ISO 22196. It is also flame retardant (passes CAL 133), manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, and is ligature resistant. The bed is backed by a 10-year factory warranty and is currently patent pending.
