The Solstice Safeguard bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice bed while incorporating additional features to enhance the safety of fall-risk patients. It includes durable, one-piece, rotationally molded construction using high-impact "no break" polyethylene, and molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding. The bed is designed with seamless, raised wall panels that run partially along both lengths to help prevent falls and related injuries, and it accommodates a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended 6" thick mattress (sold separately). The angled lower side rail facilitates easier entry and exit, while sound dampening qualities ensure a quieter environment. The bed is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain, and can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes with hardware of your choice. It is GREENGUARD Gold certified and passes flammability tests per UL 94 HB, with noise generation tests (RAL-AN23-010) showing it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. In addition, it has been tested to ISO 22196, indicating a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria, and it is flame retardant according to CAL 133 standards. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, it features ballast doors for stability, is ligature resistant, and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. The product is patent pending.
