The Solstice Bed combines exceptional strength and durability with a home-like design to enhance patient comfort and security, and it can be bolted to the floor depending on the environment. This bed features a durable, one-piece rotationally molded design made from high impact "no break" polyethylene. It includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress slippage and is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended thickness of 6" (mattresses sold separately). The bed also has an angled lowered side rail for easier entry and exit, sound dampening properties, and is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. Additional technical attributes include concealed pilot holes for bolting to the floor, GREENGUARD Gold certification, compliance with flammability standards UL 94 HB, and successful testing to ISO 22196 showing a >99% reduction in bacteria. It passes flame retardant testing (CAL 133) and has been tested for noise generation (RAL-AN23-010), producing half as many decibels compared to steel. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed features ballast doors for added stability, is ligature resistant, and comes with a 10-year factory warranty.
