The Solstice Safeguard Bed is designed to support the safety of fall risk patients while emulating the therapeutic features of the Solstice Bed. It includes durable, one-piece rotationally molded construction made of high-impact "no break" polyethylene, which enhances strength and resilience. The bed features molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress slippage, as well as seamless, raised wall panels running partially along both lengths to minimize the risk of falls and related injuries. It accommodates a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, and a 6" thick mattress is recommended (sold separately). The angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit while the sound-dampening design contributes to a quieter environment. Maintenance is straightforward as the bed is easy to clean and sanitize, and it can be bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes. The product is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability standards UL 94 HB, and features a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) indicating a reduction in decibel output compared to steel beds. Additionally, it has been tested to ISO 22196, showing over a 99% reduction in bacteria, is flame retardant per CAL 133 standards, and is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA. Key features include ballast doors for stability, ligature resistance, and a 10-year factory warranty, with a patent pending status.
