The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed and includes features designed to enhance the safety of fall risk patients. It features a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design made from high impact "no break" polyethylene, ensuring increased strength. The bed incorporates molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding, and seamless, raised wall panels run partially along both lengths to reduce the risk of falls and fall-related injuries. It is specifically designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, and includes a safety rail to help prevent patients from falling out of bed, with a recommendation for a 6" thick mattress (sold separately). The bed also has an angled lowered side rail for easier entry and exit, offers sound dampening features, and is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. It can be bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes with user-chosen hardware. The bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB, and has a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) indicating it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Additionally, it has been tested to ISO 22196 showing a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria and meets flame retardant standards (passes CAL 133). Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed is also ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. Patent pending.
