The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed, featuring enhanced safety measures for fall risk patients. It includes durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design made of high-impact "no break" polyethylene, providing increased strength. The bed is equipped with molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding and seamless, raised wall panels running partially along both lengths to prevent falls and associated injuries. It is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended 6" thick mattress (sold separately) and a safety rail to help prevent falling out of bed. The angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit, while the bed's sound dampening properties and ease of cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance enhance usability. It can be bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes with hardware of your choice. The bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB, and has been tested for noise generation, producing half as many decibels compared to steel. Furthermore, it has been rigorously tested to ISO 22196, demonstrating greater than 99% reduction in bacteria, and it is flame retardant, passing CAL 133. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed is also ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. The product is currently patent pending.
