The Solstice bed merges unparalleled strength and durability with a more familiar, home-like design to enhance patient comfort and security, featuring a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design created from high-impact "no break" polyethylene. The bed includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding and is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended mattress thickness of 6" (mattresses sold separately). It offers angled lowered side rails for easier entry and exit, sound dampening, and is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. The bed can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes using hardware of your choice and is GREENGUARD Gold certified. It passes flammability UL 94 HB standards and has been tested to ISO 22196, showing greater than 99% reduction in bacteria. Additionally, it is flame retardant (passing CAL 133) and generates half as many decibels compared to steel as confirmed by the noise generation test RAL-AN23-010. The bed is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, features ballast doors for weighing down beds, and is ligature resistant, all backed by a 10-year factory warranty.
