The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed and includes features designed to support the safety of fall risk patients, such as raised, molded-in wall panels running laterally along each side to help prevent injury from falls. The bed has a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design constructed of high-impact "no break" polyethylene, with molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding. Seamless, raised wall panels partially run along both lengths of the bed to prevent falls, and it is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller. The bed features a safety rail to help prevent patients from falling out, and a 6" thick mattress is recommended (mattresses sold separately). It incorporates an angled lowered side rail for easier entry and exit, sound dampening properties, and is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. The bed can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes with hardware of your choice. It is Greenguard Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB, and has been tested to produce half as many decibels as steel in noise generation tests (RAL-AN23-010). It also shows a >99% reduction in bacteria based on ISO 22196 testing and is flame retardant (passes CAL 133). The product is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, includes ballast doors for weighing down beds, and is ligature resistant. The Solstice Safeguard Bed comes with a 10-year factory warranty and is patent pending.
