The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed with added features to support the safety of fall risk patients. It includes durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design for increased strength, constructed of high impact "no break" polyethylene. The bed features molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding and seamless, raised wall panels that run partially along both lengths to prevent falls and fall-related injuries. It is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a safety rail to help prevent falling out of bed, and a 6" thick mattress is recommended (mattresses sold separately). The angled lowered side rail allows for easier entry and exit, while the sound dampening properties enhance patient comfort. The bed is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain, and can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes using hardware of your choice. It is Greenguard Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB, and has a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) that concludes it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Tested to ISO 22196, it shows a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria, is flame retardant (passes CAL 133), and is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, ensuring it is ligature resistant. The bed comes with a 10-year factory warranty and is currently patent pending.
