The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed with added features to support the safety of fall risk patients. It includes durable, one-piece, rotationally molded construction for increased strength, made of high impact "no break" polyethylene. The bed features molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress movement and seamless, raised wall panels running partially along both lengths to prevent falls and injuries. It is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller and includes a safety rail to help prevent falling out of bed, with a recommendation for a 6" thick mattress, sold separately. The angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit. The product is sound dampening, easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain, and can be bolted to the floor through concealed pilot holes using hardware of your choice. It is Greenguard Gold certified, passes flammability tests per UL 94 HB, and has a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) that indicates it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Additionally, it has been tested to ISO 22196, showing a >99% reduction in bacteria, is flame retardant (passes CAL 133), and is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA. The bed is ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. Patent pending.
