The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed while incorporating enhanced features designed to support the safety of fall risk patients. It includes raised, molded-in wall panels running laterally along each side to help prevent injuries from falls and provides partial paneling that contributes to patient comfort and security without entirely restricting movement. The bed features a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design made of high-impact "no break" polyethylene, with molded-in raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding. Seamless, raised wall panels run partially along both lengths of the bed, designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, and include a safety rail to help prevent falling out of bed; a 6" thick mattress is recommended, though mattresses are sold separately. An angled lowered side rail allows for easier entry and exit, and the design offers sound dampening for a quieter environment. The bed is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain and can be bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes with hardware of your choice. It is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability standards UL 94 HB, and a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) indicates it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Tested to ISO 22196, it shows a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria and is flame retardant, passing CAL 133. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed is ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty, with a patent pending.
