The Solstice bed merges unparalleled strength and durability with a more familiar, home-like design to enhance patient comfort and security. It features a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design constructed of high-impact "no break" polyethylene, with molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding. The bed is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended mattress thickness of 6", which is sold separately. It includes an angled lowered side rail for easier entry and exit, sound dampening properties, and is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. Additionally, the bed can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes with hardware of your choice. The Solstice bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability standards (UL 94 HB), and has been tested to ISO 22196 showing a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria. It is flame retardant and passes CAL 133, while also demonstrating significantly lower noise generation in comparison to steel, as concluded by the noise generation test RAL-AN23-010. The bed is manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, includes ballast doors for weighing down, is ligature resistant, and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. Patent pending.
