The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed while incorporating enhanced safety features for fall risk patients. It includes raised, molded-in wall panels that run laterally along each side of the bed to help prevent injury from falls while maintaining patient comfort and security without completely restricting movement. The bed features a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design made from high impact "no break" polyethylene, and includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding. It is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller and features a safety rail to help prevent falls, with a recommendation of a 6" thick mattress (mattresses sold separately). The angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit, and the bed is sound dampening, easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. It can be bolted to the floor through concealed pilot holes, utilizing hardware of your choice. The product is Greenguard Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB, and the noise generation test RAL-AN23-010 shows it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Additionally, it has been tested to ISO 22196, demonstrating a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria, and it meets flame retardant standards by passing CAL 133. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed includes ballast doors for weighing down, is ligature resistant, and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. Patent pending.
