The Solstice Safeguard bed is designed to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for fall risk patients, featuring raised, molded-in wall panels along each side to minimize the risk of injury from falls. This bed is constructed from high-impact "no break" polyethylene with a durable one-piece, rotationally molded design that enhances strength. It includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding and seamless, raised wall panels that run partially along both lengths of the bed. It is compatible with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, and it is recommended to use a 6" thick mattress, which is sold separately. The bed features a safety rail to help prevent falls, an angled lowered side rail for easier entry and exit, and is designed for easy cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance. It can be bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes, and is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passing flammability standards (UL 94 HB) and achieving a flame retardant designation (passes CAL 133). The bed also underwent a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010), resulting in half as many decibels compared to steel, and has been tested to ISO 22196, demonstrating a >99% reduction in bacteria. Other attributes include ballast doors for weighing down the bed, ligature resistance, and compliance with ISO quality standards. The Solstice Safeguard bed comes with a 10-year factory warranty and is patent pending.
