The Endurance® Bed 2.1 is a versatile, heavy duty bed designed for continuous, intensive use environments, featuring a large sleep surface that accommodates a 36" x 80" mattress, with a recommended thickness of 6 inches. It includes optional molded in side slots for property box storage that enhance structural span strength, and molded in end shelving for open storage of personal items, offering 2.3 cu. ft. of storage across two shelves and 4.0 cu. ft. within two side compartments. The bed is constructed from durable, high impact "no break" polyethylene using a one-piece, rotationally molded design for increased strength and is equipped with an angled lowered side rail for easier accessibility. It can be bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes and optional field-installed restraint rings, while providing sound dampening properties for enhanced comfort. The surface is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain, with variants such as mattresses and Barracuda boxes available separately. The bed is flame retardant, passing CAL 133 tests and achieving GREENGUARD Gold Certification, while also being tested to ISO 22196, showing a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, it comes with a 10-year factory warranty, and is designed to be ligature resistant.
