The Solstice Safeguard Bed is designed to provide safety for fall risk patients while emulating the therapeutic features of the Solstice Bed. It includes durable, one-piece, rotationally molded construction for enhanced strength, made from high impact "no break" polyethylene. The bed features molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattress sliding and seamless, raised wall panels that partially extend along both lengths of the bed to help reduce the risk of falls and related injuries. It accommodates a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended 6" thick mattress (sold separately), and includes a safety rail to minimize the risk of falling out of bed. The angled lowered side rail promotes easier entry and exit, while sound dampening ensures a quiet environment. The bed is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain, and can be securely bolted to the floor using concealed pilot holes and hardware of your choice. Additional certifications include Greenguard Gold, passing flammability UL 94 HB, and a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) indicating significantly lower decibel levels compared to steel. It also shows a >99% reduction in bacteria as verified by ISO 22196 testing, passes CAL 133 for flame retardance, and is manufactured in compliance with ISO quality standards in the USA. The bed is ligature resistant and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. Patent pending attributes are also part of this innovative design.
