The Solstice Safeguard Bed emulates the therapeutic appearance of the Solstice Bed while incorporating additional features designed for the safety of fall risk patients. It is constructed with a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design made from high impact "no break" polyethylene, and includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding. Seamless, raised wall panels run partially along both lengths of the bed to minimize falls and related injuries, while a safety rail aids in preventing falls from the bed. The bed is compatible with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, and a 6" thick mattress is recommended (sold separately). An angled lowered side rail facilitates easier entry and exit, and the bed is designed for easy cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance. It can be securely bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes. The Solstice Safeguard Bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB, and noise generation tests indicating it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. It has been tested to ISO 22196, demonstrating a >99% reduction in bacteria, and meets flame retardancy standards by passing CAL 133. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed features ballast doors for stability, is ligature resistant, and comes with a 10-year factory warranty.
