The Solstice Bed merges unparalleled strength and durability with a more familiar, home-like design to enhance patient comfort and security. It features a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded design constructed of high impact "no break" polyethylene. The bed includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding and is designed for use with a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended mattress thickness of 6"; mattresses are sold separately. It features angled lowered side rails for easier entry and exit, sound dampening properties, and is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. The bed can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes using hardware of your choice. It is GREENGUARD Gold certified, passes flammability UL 94 HB, and has been tested to ISO 22196 showing a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria. Additionally, it is flame retardant (passes CAL 133), and noise generation tests (RAL-AN23-010) indicate it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, it includes ballast doors for weighing down beds, is ligature resistant, and comes with a 10-year factory warranty. The design is currently patent pending.
