The Solstice bed merges unparalleled strength and durability with a more familiar, home-like design to enhance patient comfort and security, featuring a durable, one-piece, rotationally molded construction made of high-impact "no break" polyethylene. It includes molded-in, raised head and footboards to prevent mattresses from sliding and is designed to accommodate a 36" x 75" mattress or smaller, with a recommended thickness of 6" (mattresses sold separately). The bed is equipped with angled lowered side rails for easier entry and exit, sound dampening properties, and is easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain. It can be bolted to the floor via concealed pilot holes with hardware of your choice and is GREENGUARD Gold certified. The Solstice bed passes flammability UL 94 HB and has been tested to ISO 22196, demonstrating a greater than 99% reduction in bacteria. It also passes CAL 133 for flame retardance, and a noise generation test (RAL-AN23-010) indicates it produces half as many decibels compared to steel. Manufactured to ISO quality standards in the USA, the bed features ballast doors for stability and is ligature resistant. It comes with a 10-year factory warranty and is currently patent pending.
