The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials Coverall is a lightweight garment designed to provide a blend of comfort, durability, and safety, made from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon fabric. This coverall features the softness of cotton combined with the strength of nylon, offering enhanced breathability and protection. It is equipped with two front pockets that have secure snap closures for convenient storage of essentials. The design includes covered snaps that enhance protection against electric arcs, with an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and classified as Cat 2. The coverall complies with several safety standards, including NFPA 70E and ASTM F1506 for arc flash protection, UL certification to NFPA 2112, and CSA Z462 compliance for arc flash in Canada, as well as OSHA 1910.269. Proper care should be taken: garments should be laundered as per the label instructions, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, detergents containing either, fabric softeners, or starch. The recommended washing method is to machine wash separately in warm water (max. 165°F/74°C) with detergent only, and the garment is also dry cleanable. Maintaining fabric performance requires adherence to these instructions, especially when the garment becomes soiled. If contaminants cannot be completely removed after laundering, discontinuing use of the garment is advised.
