The Drifire® FR Essentials coverall is a lightweight garment expertly crafted for an ideal blend of comfort, durability, and safety. Constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend, it combines the softness of cotton with the strength of nylon, ensuring breathability while providing essential protection. Key features include two front pockets with secure snap closures for convenient storage and covered snaps designed to enhance protection against electric arcs, with an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm², classifying it at Cat level 2. This coverall is compliant with several standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506, and CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, in addition to complying with OSHA 1910.269. Proper garment care involves washing according to the instructions on the label, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, and detergents containing either, as well as refraining from using fabric softeners or starches. The recommended laundering practice includes washing separately in warm water (max. 165°F/74°C) with detergent only, while also ensuring that the garment is dry cleanable to maintain fabric performance. If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
