The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials Coverall is a lightweight protective garment designed to offer an optimal combination of comfort, durability, and safety. Constructed from a 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend, these coveralls feature the softness of cotton alongside the strength of nylon. Key attributes include two front pockets with secure snap closures for convenient storage and covered snaps that enhance protection against electric arcs, with an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and a Cat level of Cat 2. The coveralls are compliant with several safety standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506 for arc flash, and CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, as well as OSHA 1910.269. For product care, it is recommended to follow the laundering instructions on the garment label, washing separately in warm water (max. 165°F/74°C) with detergent only, and avoiding the use of hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, fabric softeners, or starch. To maintain fabric performance, it is essential to wash the garment to remove contaminants such as dirt, grease, or oils; if these contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the coverall.
