The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials Coverall is a lightweight protective garment designed with a premium cotton nylon blend, offering a combination of comfort, durability, and safety. Featuring the softness of cotton complemented by the strength of nylon, these coveralls weigh 6.5 oz. and provide breathability while ensuring protection. Key features include two front pockets with secure snap closures for reliable storage, and covered snaps that enhance protection against electric arcs, achieving an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and a category level of CAT 2. In terms of compliance, the coveralls adhere to multiple safety standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506 for arc flash, CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, and comply with OSHA 1910.269. Proper care instructions involve laundering according to the garment label, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, and fabric softeners, and machine washing separately in warm water (max. 165°F/74°C) using only detergent. To maintain fabric performance, any contaminants such as dirt, grease, or oils should be removed promptly, and if they cannot be cleaned after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
