The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials Coverall is a lightweight garment designed to provide an optimal blend of comfort, durability, and safety. Constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend, these coveralls offer the softness of cotton combined with the strength of nylon, ensuring breathability and protection. Key features include two front pockets with secure snap closures for reliable storage, and covered snaps that enhance safety against electric arcs with an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm², categorized as Cat 2. The coverall meets several compliance standards, including NFPA 70E, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506, and CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, as well as OSHA 1910.269. For product care, it is essential to follow the garment label instructions, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, or detergents containing either. The coverall should be washed separately in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) with detergent only and is also dry cleanable. Proper laundering is crucial to maintain fabric performance and remove contaminants like dirt, grease, and oils, and if contaminants remain after washing, discontinuation of use is recommended.
