The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials Coverall is a lightweight garment designed for optimal comfort, durability, and safety, constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend that ensures breathability while providing protection. Key features include the softness of cotton combined with the strength of nylon, two front pockets with secure snap closures for reliable storage, and covered snaps that enhance protection against electric arcs. The coverall has an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and falls under Cat level 2. It complies with several safety standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506, CSA Z462 (Canada), and OSHA 1910.269. For product care, it is essential to read the garment label and launder according to the instructions provided, avoiding the use of hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, detergents containing either, fabric softeners, or starch. The recommended washing method includes machine washing in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) with detergent only, and the garment is dry cleanable. Proper laundering is necessary to maintain fabric performance and remove contaminants such as dirt, greases, and oils, and if contaminants cannot be removed, discontinuation of use is advised.
