The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials work shirt is a lightweight and durable garment designed for comfort and safety, constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend that provides breathability while ensuring protection. This shirt features two front chest pockets for additional storage and a back pleat to enhance movement. Made in the Dominican Republic with fabric sourced from the USA, it boasts an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and is classified as Cat 2. The product complies with various safety standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506 for arc flash, CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, and OSHA 1910.269. For optimal maintenance, it is recommended to follow the garment label instructions for laundering, avoiding the use of hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, detergents containing either, fabric softeners, or starch. The shirt should be washed separately from other garments in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) using only detergent and is also dry cleanable, ensuring that contaminants such as dirt, grease, and oils are effectively removed to maintain fabric performance. If contaminants persist after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
