The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials work shirt is a lightweight and durable garment designed for safety and comfort, featuring a premium cotton nylon blend that ensures breathability and protection. It includes two front chest pockets for extra storage and a back pleat for ease of movement. Made in the Dominican Republic with fabric sourced from the USA, this work shirt has an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and is classified as Cat level 2. The material used is a 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend. The shirt complies with several safety standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, is UL certified to NFPA 2112, meets ASTM F1506 for arc flash, and is compliant with CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, as well as OSHA 1910.269. For care, it is important to follow the garment label instructions, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, detergents containing either, fabric softeners, or starch. The laundering guidelines specify washing separately from other garments, using machine wash warm (max. 165°F/74°C) with detergent only, and it is dry cleanable. Proper laundering is essential to maintain fabric performance, especially when soiled with contaminants like dirt, grease, or oils, and if these contaminants cannot be removed through laundering, discontinuing use of the garment is recommended.
