The DRIFIRE® flame-resistant essentials work pant is a lightweight and durable option designed for all-day comfort in hazardous work environments. These pants are made from a 7 oz. cotton/nylon blend fabric that provides superior flame-resistant protection, featuring an arc rating of 9.2 cal/cm² and categorized as Cat 2. They include two front slant pockets for easy access and two back welt pockets that offer a professional appearance while ensuring secure storage. The pants comply with several important safety standards, including NFPA 70E and ASTM F1506 for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, CSA Z462 compliance for arc flash in Canada, and OSHA 1910.269 compliance. For maintenance, it is essential to follow the care instructions on the garment label, which specify machine washing separately in warm water (max. 165°F/74°C) using detergent only and avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, fabric softeners, and starch. Proper laundering is crucial to remove contaminants such as dirt, grease, and oils to maintain the fabric's performance; if contaminants cannot be removed after washing, discontinuing use of the garment is recommended.
