The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials work shirt is a lightweight garment designed to provide an optimal blend of comfort, durability, and safety. Constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend, the shirt is breathable and protective, featuring two front chest pockets for additional storage and a back pleat that enhances ease of movement. It is manufactured in the Dominican Republic with fabric sourced from the USA and offers an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm², classified as Category 2. The shirt is compliant with several safety standards including NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certified to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506, and CSA Z462 for Canadian regulations, while also meeting OSHA 1910.269 requirements. Product care instructions recommend laundering according to the garment label, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, and detergents with either, as well as not using fabric softeners or starch. The shirt should be washed separately in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) with detergent only and is dry cleanable. To maintain fabric performance, it is advised to remove contaminants promptly, as continued use of soiled garments may necessitate discontinuation if contaminants cannot be effectively laundered.
