The Drifire® FR Essentials work shirt is a lightweight garment designed to provide an optimal blend of comfort, durability, and safety, constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend that ensures breathability while maintaining protection. It features two front chest pockets for extra storage and a back pleat that enhances ease of movement. Manufactured in the Dominican Republic with fabric sourced from the USA, the shirt has an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and meets Category 2 requirements. This work shirt is compliant with NFPA 70E for arc flash and is UL certified to NFPA 2112. Additionally, it adheres to ASTM F1506 and CSA Z462 standards for arc flash, as well as OSHA 1910.269 regulations. To maintain the garment's integrity, it is recommended to follow the care instructions detailed on the garment label, which advise against using hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, or fabric softeners, and suggest washing separately in warm water (max. 165°F/74°C) with detergent only. The product is also dry cleanable and requires proper laundering to ensure optimal fabric performance, especially after exposure to contaminants like dirt, grease, or oil.
