The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials work shirt is a lightweight garment designed to provide an optimal blend of comfort, durability, and safety. Constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend, it offers excellent breathability and protection, featuring an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and a categorization of Cat 2. The shirt includes two front chest pockets for additional storage and a back pleat for greater ease of movement. It is manufactured in the Dominican Republic using fabric sourced from the USA. The shirt meets several compliance standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, is UL certified to NFPA 2112, complies with ASTM F1506 and CSA Z462 for arc flash (Canada), and adheres to OSHA 1910.269 regulations. For product care, it is essential to read and follow the laundering instructions on the garment label, which stipulates washing separately from other garments in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) with detergent only. Avoid using hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, or any detergents containing these substances, as well as fabric softeners or starch. To maintain fabric performance, it is critical to wash the shirt according to these guidelines, especially when soiled with contaminants like dirt, grease, or oils; if contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
