The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials work shirt is a lightweight garment designed to provide an optimal combination of comfort, durability, and safety. Constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton/nylon blend, it ensures breathability while offering protection with an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and classified as CAT 2. The shirt features two front chest pockets for additional storage and a back pleat for enhanced ease of movement. It is manufactured in the Dominican Republic using fabric sourced from the USA. This work shirt complies with various safety standards, including NFPA 70E for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506 for arc flash, and CSA Z462 for arc flash in Canada, as well as OSHA 1910.269. For product care, it is important to follow the laundering instructions on the garment label, which recommends washing separately in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) with detergent only, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, detergents containing either, fabric softeners, or starch, and ensuring the garment is dry cleanable. Adhering to these care instructions is essential for maintaining fabric performance, especially if the garment becomes soiled with contaminants like dirt, greases, or oils; if contaminants persist post-laundering, discontinuing use is advisable.
