The DRIFIRE® FR Essentials work shirt is a lightweight garment designed to provide an optimal blend of comfort, durability, and safety. Constructed from a premium 6.5 oz. cotton nylon blend, this shirt ensures breathability while offering protection with an arc rating of 9.5 cal/cm² and categorization at CAT level 2. It features two front chest pockets for additional storage and a back pleat for enhanced ease of movement. Manufactured in the Dominican Republic with fabric sourced from the USA, this work shirt meets several compliance standards, including NFPA 70E and ASTM F1506 for arc flash, UL certification to NFPA 2112, as well as compliance with CSA Z462 for arc flash (Canada) and OSHA 1910.269. For care, it is recommended to wash the garment separately from other items in warm water (maximum 165°F/74°C) using detergent only, avoiding hydrogen peroxide, chlorine bleach, fabric softeners, or starch. Adhering to these laundering instructions is crucial to maintain the fabric performance, particularly when the shirt becomes soiled with contaminants such as dirt, grease, or oil. If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is advisable to discontinue use of the garment.
